Allotment Management – Marketing Module
What is the feature used for?
Allocation management allows you to limit the number of spaces available for a given reseller over a defined period. It's a useful sales management tool for strategically allocating your inventory between direct sales and resale.
This feature is only accessible if you have activated the marketing module via Yoplanning support.
How to access the feature?
Log in to Yoplanning.pro.
In the left menu, go to Administration > Configuration.
In the Booking Module section, open Marketing Rules.
Click Add Rule.
Choose the Resale Inventory type.
Setup Steps
1. General information
Name: Give your rule a meaningful name (e.g., "Club Med limit").
Type: Select "Resale Inventory".
Dates: period during which the rules will apply (reservation dates, not session dates).
2. Relevant Reseller
Reseller: Choose a reseller previously created in your team.
3. Stock variation
Resale Inventory: Set a percentage of capacity that will be available to the reseller.
Example:
- 50%
means that out of a session of 10 seats, only 5 will be visible to this reseller.
4. Targeting (Sessions & Products)
Session tag (optional): allows you to target specific periods via a tag (e.g.: "high season").
Product (optional): select a product concerned or if several used the product tag
Product tag: you can apply the rule to a product family (e.g.: "Group ski lessons").
⚠️ If you use a session tag and a product, the rule applies only to sessions of the relevant product with the correct tag.
5. Conditions on participants (optional)
Minimum remaining tickets (%): The rule only applies if the percentage of remaining seats is greater than or equal to this value.
Maximum remaining tickets (%): the rule only applies up to this threshold of remaining seats.
Example: if "maximum remaining tickets" = 20%, the rule no longer applies as soon as less than 20% of the places are available. In other words, if I have 10 places in an activity, until there are 8 places left I apply the rule. Beyond that, I no longer apply the rule, so they will have 100% of the capacity.
Directions for use
Use session tags to manage seasonality.
Only fill in the "participants" fields if you understand their purpose. Otherwise, leave them blank.
For each strategic reseller, create a separate rule.
Common Problems and Solutions
The dealer sees the full capacity
Check that the rule is active and that the conditions (dates, product, tag) are met.
The rule does not apply
Check the "remaining tickets" fields: an incorrectly configured threshold can disable the rule.
The rule does not limit good sessions
Check the session and product tags.
By correctly applying this functionality, you maintain control over your inventory while collaborating with resellers in a controlled framework.
