What is the "Gift Certificate & Prepaid Plan" feature?
Gift certificates and prepaid packages allow your clients to purchase credits in advance, which can be used for future activity bookings. These options are ideal for gifts or for clients who want to book sessions frequently.
How to create a Gift Certificate or Prepaid Plan?
Detailed Steps:
Connection: Connect to your Yoplannin.
In the left menu: Go to the Products section.
Creation Menu: Click on the menu symbolized by three dots at the top right.
Create a prepaid plan: Select the Create a prepaid plan option.
Information Entry: Complete the requested fields. The information required is similar to that of a standard product, but with fewer details required.
Unit Price: In the "Gift Voucher" section, enter the unit price that will correspond to the value of each prepaid unit. Click Add Voucher to set the visible name and price of the package.
Associating a Promo Code (New): You can now apply a specific promo code to a prepaid plan, offering a preferential rate to customers purchasing multiple units online.
Important: The promo code must be previously created in the Promo Codes section of the Administration.
How prepaid plans work
The price set in the "Gift Voucher" section is applied per unit. For example, a prepaid plan of 10 units at €20 per unit gives you a €200 credit. This credit can then be used for bookable activities on the schedule, with no time limit.
Prepaid plans work like standard products, but are not associated with a specific activity on the schedule.
Customer Use
Customers can apply their package when booking an activity on the online booking module. If a promo code is associated, the discount will automatically apply to the customer when using their prepaid package. Note that the customer can use the prepaid package on all of your products without restriction, but there will only be discounts within the scope of the promo code you have defined. Clear Description: Explicitly state the value and benefits of the prepaid plan in its description.
Promo Code Management: Use promo codes to encourage bulk purchases, applying attractive discounts for regular customers.
Regular Update: Monitor sales performance and adjust your promotional offers as needed.
Common Problems and Solutions
Problem: The customer cannot use their prepaid credit Solution: Ensure that the credit is correctly registered on the customer account. Also, verify that the customer is following the correct booking steps. If the problem persists, contact Yoplanning support.
Problem: The package amount is not clear to the customer Solution: Communicate transparently about the pricing structure (per unit) and add concrete examples.
Issue: Promo code not automatically applied when using prepaid plan Solution: Make sure the promo code was associated with the plan when it was created. Also, check that the code is active and has not expired.
By following these steps, you can effectively configure gift certificates and prepaid plans in Yoplanning, with or without a promo code, to optimize loyalty and advance sales.
