Manage my availability and unavailability in Yoplanning

Do you use Yoplanning and want to manage your periods of availability or unavailability? Follow this guide to learn how to do this effectively in the app. It is important to note that Yoplanning focuses on unavailability management: by default, you are considered available, and you must specify your unavailability periods if necessary. You can define your unavailability for long periods, covering several months if necessary.

Types of Unavailability

Yoplanning offers two types of unavailability:

  1. General Unavailability: You are not available for any team you are part of.

  2. Partial Unavailability: You remain available for certain teams but not for others. This can be useful if you work remotely for one team while being geographically distant from another.

How to define your unavailability:

  1. Access your profile: Click on your name located on the left of the schedule to open your profile.

  2. Manage unavailability: At the bottom of your profile, click on the button dedicated to managing unavailability to access the input interface.

  3. Choose the team: The first field concerns the team (by default, the active team in the left menu). Make sure you select the correct team.

  4. Type of unavailability: Determine whether your unavailability is total (for all teams) or partial (just for the selected team).

  5. Define the period: Indicate if the unavailability concerns a single day (with specific times) or if it is recurring (extending over several days, weeks, or months).

  6. Hours of unavailability: Specify the hours during which you will be unavailable (for example, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. each day).

  7. Save: Once you have made your choices, don't forget to save your changes.

Important points:

  • A general unavailability is considered valid for all teams and can only be changed by you.

  • The managers of each team can only create partial unavailability specific to their team and cannot modify your general unavailability.

Make sure you communicate clearly with the managers of the affected teams before setting up unavailability, to avoid any misunderstandings regarding your availability.

This guide aims to help you effectively manage your periods of unavailability in Yoplanning, ensuring fluid communication and optimal organization within your teams.
