What is the purpose of importing a customer file?

Importing a customer file allows you to massively transfer customer data to Yoplanning. This feature is ideal for integrating existing customer lists without manually adding them one by one.

Steps to import a customer file

As a Yoplanning customer, you cannot import your customer files directly into the application yourself. However, you can ask Yoplanning support to do it for you. Here's how to do it:

  1. File preparation:

    • Prepare an Excel or CSV file with the necessary information.

    • Minimum columns should include:

      • Name

      • First name

      • Email (required)

    • You can also add additional information like the mailing address by separating the following into separate columns: address, zip code, city, and country.

  2. Import conditions:

    • Only customers with a valid email address can be imported. Lines without an email will not be considered.

  3. Sending the file to support:

    • Send the prepared file to the following email address: support@yoplanning.com

  4. Validation by support:

    • Once your file is received, the support team will check its format and import the data into your Yoplanning account.

Best practices

  • Check email validity: Make sure each customer has a valid email address, as this is a mandatory requirement for importing.

  • Uniform Format: Use a consistent format for each column to avoid errors during import.
