Setting up Cancellation Insurance

Yoplanning gives you the flexibility to work with integrated insurance providers or manage cancellation insurance yourself. Here's how to do it in each case.
Yoplanning natively integrates with two cancellation insurance providers, Assurmix and Meetch, although they do not cover all countries. Before proceeding, check with these providers to verify their availability in your country.

If you prefer to manage cancellation insurance yourself, follow these steps to set up your account:
Creation of Material for Insurance:
In the left menu, go to Administration > Hardware
.
Click the option to add a new hardware item.
Name this material item in relation to the cancellation insurance (for example, “Cancellation Insurance”).
Price Configuration:
You have two options to calculate the insurance rate:
Absolute Value: Set an absolute price per ticket, for example, 3 euros per ticket.
Relative Value: Set a percentage of the rate of the service provided, for example, 2.5% of the total rate, thus allowing you to calculate an appropriate rate for each service.
Price Choice: Choose the rate calculation method based on the nature of your business and your customers' preferences. Relative value may be fairer for businesses with varying prices.
Transparent Communication: Make sure to clearly inform your customers about the terms and conditions of the cancellation insurance when booking.
Integration Issue with Suppliers: If you are having difficulty integrating Assurmix or Meetch, check your geographic coverage and contact Yoplanning support.
Incorrect Rate Calculation: Make sure the percentage or fixed amount is set correctly to avoid incorrect insurance rate calculations.
