Management of Openings and Closings of Online Sales

Feature Description: Managing online sales openings and closings in Yoplanning.pro allows you to define specific sales opening and closing times for your activities. This feature is useful for controlling the availability of online activities and ensuring that they are offered to customers according to deadlines that are appropriate for your organization.

Steps to use the feature:

  1. Access the "Online Sales" section:

    • From the Left Menu, select Product.

    • Edit the product using the Three Little Dots Menu

    • Go to the "Online Sales" section of the product.

  2. Set opening and closing hours:

    • Close sales X hours before start: Enter the number of hours before the activity starts to close the sales. For example, if you enter "4", the sales will be closed 4 hours before the activity starts.

    • Open sales X hours before start: Enter the number of hours before the activity starts to open sales. For example, if you enter "24", sales will open 24 hours before the activity starts.

  3. Manage default values:

    • If the fields are left empty, the activity will be available as soon as it is scheduled in Yoplanning and will be closed automatically at the start time of the activity.

  4. Advanced Usage:

    • Close sales after activity starts: If you want to allow sales even after the activity starts, you can enter a negative value in the "Close sales X hours before start" field. For example, entering "-1" will allow customers to register up to one hour after the activity starts.

Tips for use and best practices:

  • Late registration management optimization: Use late closing (negative values) to allow last minute registrations, especially for activities where this is relevant.

  • Prevent underbooking: Ensure that openings and closings are properly set to maximize participation while avoiding late registrations which can be difficult to manage.

Common mistakes and solutions:

  • Forgetting to set hours: Leaving fields blank without intention can lead to unwanted opening or closing. Always check these settings when creating or editing a product.

  • Incorrect Negative Value: Be sure to understand the impact of using negative values to close sales after the activity has started, and use this option with caution.

By mastering these settings, you can better control access to your activities and optimize your customers' experience.
