Management of customer collection points

What is the "Recovery Points" feature used for?

The "Pick-up points" feature in Yoplanning.pro allows you to define specific locations where participants of an activity can be picked up. This feature is useful when some members of a group need to be picked up at different locations before joining the main activity. Pick-up points should not be confused with meeting points, which are the locations where the activity takes place.

Steps to use the "Recovery Points" feature

  1. Access Recovery Point Management:

    • From the Dashboard, go to the Administration section.

    • Click on Resources to access resource management.

  2. Create a new recovery point:

    • Click New to add a new resource.

    • In the resource type, select Recovery Point.

    • Fill in details such as the name of the location, a description, and possibly a time difference from the start of the activity (positive or negative).

  3. Adding recovery points to a session:

    • When creating or editing a session, you can add the defined recovery points as options.

    • Participants will be able to choose their preferred collection point at the time of registration.

Tips for use and best practices

  • Clarify Locations: Make sure the description of each pickup point is clear to avoid confusion among participants.

  • Schedule Coordination: If pick-up points are far apart, adjust schedules so that all participants can arrive at the activity on time.

  • Not to be confused with the meeting point: The pick-up point is only to pick up participants before the activity. The meeting point is the geolocated location where the activity takes place.

Common Problems and Solutions

  • Error in assigning recovery points: If participants complain of confusion about their recovery location, check the clarity of the descriptions and clearly communicate the available options.

  • Deadlines not met: If the deadlines indicated are too tight, re-evaluate the travel time between each pick-up point and the activity.
