Introduction to Product Tags

Product tags in Yoplanning are customizable labels that you can assign to your products. Unlike predefined categories, which are standardized and used for international classification, tags are specific to your organization. They offer additional flexibility in managing and classifying your products, allowing you to create a classification system that precisely matches your needs and structure.

How to Create Product Tags

Access to the Feature:

  • On the dashboard, navigate to the Administration section.

  • Select Configuration to access the configuration settings.

  • In the Booking Modules section, click on Product Tags.

Creating a New Tag:

  • Click on the option to add a new tag.

  • Enter the name of the tag you want to create. Choose a name that clearly reflects the type of classification or product characteristic. Don't forget the different languages.

  • Validate the creation of the tag.

Product Tagging:

  • Return to your product list by navigating to the Products menu.

  • Select a product you want to tag.

  • In the product details, check the corresponding tag(s) you created.

Categorize tags for display in booking modules.

  • Go to the list of tags you find in administration.configuration.

  • In the Three Little Dots Menu, click on Sort.

  • Then drag the items into the list in the order you like.

Usage Tips and Best Practices

  • Key Organization: Use tag names that are descriptive and consistent to make it easier to find and filter your products.

  • Simplicity: Avoid using too many tags for a product, which could complicate management and search.

  • Regular Update: Review and update your tags periodically to keep them relevant and useful.

Use in the booking module

Note that in your booking module settings, you have the choice between displaying international categories and your tag selection. &#xNAN;LWhen the booking module is shared by several structures, it is strongly recommended to use international categories. Otherwise, you can use your own categorization by tag.
